Another Royal Wedding

Days and weeks have passed, yet the hype on Prince Harry and Meghan's Royal Wedding is still hot as ever. When will all these come to an end?...It never does, just like the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's and their parents before them, cos it is world history now!

I have written before on the subject of royal wedding, but this time I shall focus on the guests instead. But before I do, let's take a look back at some of the past royal wedding guests in their finest in particular at the wedding of the Duke & Duchess of Cambridge's. And you can later compare them to the Duke & Duchess of Sussex's guests.

The Duke & Duchess of Cambridge's wedding was a more formal event, as not only there were celebrities in attendance, but more so Heads of States. This is because both William & Catherine will one day be the King & Queen of England, so it is only right to follow tradition to invite the World's leaders even though they may not know half of them in person.

But for many of us, we are more interested to see who wears what, am I correct?

It was a beautiful Saturday morning and it was a lovely wedding ceremony. Of course all eyes was on the bride and later the newly married Royal couple, the new Duke & Duchess of Sussex.

But I am sure that many of us, myself included was also on the lookout for the guests at the Royal wedding....looking to see who wore what and who's the best dressed and the worse dressed.

From all that I have seen, for me, I think the best dressed gong should go (and it did according to Hello Magazine) to Lady Kitty Spencer. Such a beautiful colour co-ordination, bright and cheery as well as it had a very slimming effect....it was just perfect for a Spring Saturday morning English wedding.

Below are pictures of all the Royal guests, according to my own list of Best Dressed to the Worse Dressed.

Next on my Best dressed list is Sarah Raffety in navy Lanvin (as seen below). It's not only one of my favourite colour but the simple slim chic cut with a twist of its bell shaped sleeves makes the entire outfit unique and one of a kind.

3rd placing is Meghan's best friend Jessica Mulroney. Again in one of my favourite blue hue, very little is known of her outfit but it simple, comfortable and classy....something that I would have worn too for a wedding...if I had that body shape!

4th place goes to Princess Eugenie though it was a tough choice for me choosing between her and Sarah for 2nd or 3rd place as the princess outfit this time is very simple yet sweet chic Jackie O style that complements well on her curvy figure. Very relaxed yet stylish I would conclude. I just love it.

Next place is Jacinda Barrett. Love the colour - another of my favourites. The maroon number is also another unique style though am not very keen on the 'hole' in the centre. Otherwise, it is another winning number.

Next are Countess Sophie and Princess Beatrice with their ever unusual yet classy style outfits. They are always surprising us with their unique fashion flare and they both never fail to intrigue us with their fashion sense. This time yet again they both never failed us with their chosen wedding outfits. The Countess in her stylish baby-blue Suzannah number and Princess Beatrice in a Roksanda label in the colour Teal (Note : Other colours are available online too). If only I could pick several No. 1's....

No. 8 goes to James Blunt's wife. Though I am not a huge fan of flowery styles, I must complement her chosen style for the wedding. A colourful dress, perfect for a Spring/Summer wedding with colour co-ordinated pair of heels. Perfect!

This next one is rather different. I'd say a very 'Dynasty' regal style chosen don't you think so? I love the peachy colour. I also find it to be rather like an American twist to an English outfit.

Another in blue is Lady Sarah Chatto looking elegantly simple and modern style dress by Jasper Conran that she has paired with her late mother's pearl earrings. Very colour co-ordinated and it does look very comfortable and relaxed. No sweat!

Julia Carrey's pale pink is another winner as well cos I love the simplicity of the entire outfit and even though I am not a fan of the colour pink but this I'll give it a go.

Next  at 12th placing onwards would be those who 'flowered up' their wedding looks. Beginning with Carey Mulligan in a stylish, chic and cheerful 1950s style. Love it!

Next place is actress Gina Torres in a floaty orange tea-length dress by Greek designer Costarellos. Pairing it with matching beige fedora hat with stillettos and clutch bag is very complimenting indeed to the outfit.

Troian Bellisario, wife of Patrick J Adams in a beige dress, which is pretty and nice but I don't agree with her chosen shoes. It gives the outfit a more evening look rather than a day look. And it does goes against the 'English dresscode' when the Queen is in attendance.

Victoria Beckham came into the bottom of my list not because she failed fashion fox, but she didn't quite make the 'wedding style' this time round. I was very disappointed with her chosen style cos no doubt I love the dress, which is unique and it gives that bold futuristic style but it is a wedding for heavens sake. Not a funeral. Pairing the outfit with those vava-voom red stillettos may 'brightened' up the outfit overall but it didn't help the gloomy look she had on.

Pippa Middleton didn't disappoint even though she's pregnant. She looks absolutely blooming in her The Fold floral dress, which features a drop waist and pleated skirt with panels of blush pink. Gorgeous!
Sarah, Duchess of York is next with yet another navy fitted blue outfit. Looking stunning for her age as always.

Amal Clooney may have landed no. 2 in Hello magazines's most stylish guests, but in my list, she's no. 19 with her yellow Stella McCartney midi dress. I have always admired her fashion sense since she became known to the world, but why did she landed 19 here is because firstly, yellow isn't my particularly favourite colour to begin with and a little too bright for me, though you may disagree. Yes I do find the outfit a little unusual but it is a little overdone at the same time. I find that the front of the dress is simple and it gives that little 50's design that clearly suits Amal. But the big bow behind the dress is a little too much. It makes out like the designer has run out of ideas to make the dress 'special', so she just adds the huge bow in hoping to blend it into the design of the dress. Furthermore, the dress doesn't accentuate her thin figure, but makes it look like the dress is 'hanging' on her.

The next few : The Duchess of Cambridge, Autumn Phillips and Carole Middleton all played 'safe' in their choices, though all looked stunning and very English indeed. Even though I was a little disappointed with Duchess Catherine, as I expected her to show up with something eye catching, but give her a break....she still looks amazing and sweet despite the fact that she has just given birth to her third child 3 weeks earlier.

Serena Williams may be the best tennis player on this earth, but she in a dress is a no-no. The first thought I had when I saw her in, this is a man in a dress. Sorry Serena. You need a new stylist, or better yet, you need to be more feminine!

The rest below are those who didn't make the best dressed list, though some of them are still acceptable.
Priyanka's outfit is lovely but it doesn't suit her I'm afraid. A curvy woman like her shouldn't have many folds on her outfit. It makes her look chest bigger and puffy. And I find that the design is a little old fashioned. She should have kept her outfit simple and show off more of her curves with simple cuts.

I love the green combination of Caroline Greenwood's entire outfit. But I don't fancy the top part of the dress as I feel it makes the dress over-done. I particularly hate the 'holy' shoulders. It makes no sense to have it. So that is why she failed to make the grade.

The last four at the bottom is beyond words to describe. All I can say is....what on earth are they thinking? Chloe Madeley's outfit is by far the worst ever (last picture). Did she not read the dresscode?
