When COVID 19 struck the world back in early 2020, the great majority of us were confined to our homes for months on end and other than 'Work From Home' there wasn't much to do. Our freedom was suddenly taken away to protect ourselves from the deadly virus and this caused a great deal of mental distress among many.
I personally took it as a short break initially having to finally being able to take some time off (unaccounted for) to catch up with sleep, having the freedom to focus more on my course assignments and studies, being able to do housework which I wasn't able to on normal days, etc.
However, as the days goes by, I needed to 'escape' myself from being couped up in my house.....so shopping online became an essential daily routine for me not only because we all were forced to do so as to minimize having to go out of the house, but it helped me in the sense that I get to shop in the comfort of my own home and got so used to it that I now couldn't really be bothered to walk in the malls anymore, unless the need to do so.
During the home quarantine period of time, I suddenly find my Facebook and Instragram pages being bombarded with advertisements for online retail brands such as H&M, Mango, Uniqlo, Geb as well as online platforms like Zalora, Lazada and Shoppee.
But there was one or two brands in particular that caught my eye...SHEIN and YOINS
These two brands were heavily advertised till I wanted to know what are they all about. And blind me...the amount of stuff that you can find there!
They literally have everything...yes EVERYTHING!
From accessories to ladies clothing to men clothing to even sexy lingerie and beauty products.
So after awhile, apart from being bored and curious, I decided to explore and my jolly....they even have clothes for Plus Sizes....Yayyyyyyy!! They have clothes for every size, from L to 6XL. And oh their website is endless. I have never been so tired just exploring one area of the website like dresses. They have dresses of all types from casual to formal wear.
After much exploration (and still is), I found some dresses that I really like but I wasn't sure of their sizes. It took me awhile to figure out even though they do have my size but as we all know, different cut/brand, different size rule, I decided to take a chance and place my order.
They are fast with delivery I have to say and I was all excited to try them on. 2 dresses fitted perfectly but another 2 wasn't. Not bad for a start! But to send those dresses back was a difficult job. It took them a long while for them to come to collect back my package. I think I waited like nearly a month and I had to contact them more than twice to get through. I hope my next orders wont be such a hassle if I do need to return them.
In the meantime, I just love the 2 dresses. Quality of them is pretty good and very comfy. Sadly I can't show wearing them cos I haven't got a reason to yet. Even though the MCO has been lifted, we still are very careful going out to places. And with this extreme hot weather that we are experiencing now till September, shorts & t-shirts are my current 'best friends'.
So all you lovely curvy ladies.....please go to these 2 websites : SHEIN.COM AND YOINS.COM Check them out........ Happy Shopping!!
